Thank you! It's just an old shooter, my go-to-gun for the field. And also has been kind of a test mule to try different things. It'll be nice to try a lighter Wrangler version. I'll fit a magnum cyl to it just for carry, not constant use. All Ruger .22 barrels are .224" since #150,000 so I'm not worried about the barrel.

Wproct the Wrangler barrel has a 1 in 14" twist rate like the Single Six.
It's probably a Single Six barrel.
Ruger's .22lr is usually 1 in 16", .22wmr is 1 in 14".

I have a stainless Bearcat I ran a mag reamer into the chambers and it shoots most mag ammo very well or at least 25 yd "good enough" to hunt with.

A light weight Wrangler in 22 mag is appealing too with larger grips than the Bearcat. I wonder if it goes that way or to a 10 shot LR at some point.

That old 3 screw mods which is a beauty makes me want to work on my old convertable with fixed sights. It has lots of dings and is worn from a holster riding in my 4 wheelers and dirt bikes...maybe it has too much character to change...good reason for a Wrangler I suppose.
