I pick this up a couple of years ago. It's fun to shoot, but the trigger leave much to be desired. Does anyone know if the trigger parts for a full bore Colt are interchangeable with these Walter Colt's?

Thanks, Bob.

If I remember correctly most parts will interchange. I swapped in some parts from my 10mm Delta some years back to improve the trigger pull on my rail model.

I believe a 1911 in .22 is the greatest.

100% of the fun (well 95%), @ 1/4 the cost and zero recoil.

What's not to luv

Does it have the series 80 stuff?
If so, try without it.

Are you able to use the 10 round magazine as well as the 12 round magazine on the Gold Cup?

Thanks

My friend with one has 'tuned' the Walther parts (not replaced) to good effect. He said it was like doing a real Colt.

I am considering the Gold Cup Trophy, but am concerned about mag availability. That's why I'm hoping 10 round mags can be used as well

Either will work Tinplas. The 10 round version is just in response to some states outlawing larger than 10 round capacity magazines.

The Walther site says they're back in stock now as well. The 12 rounders are still 2-3 months out. https://shop.waltherarms.com/colt-1911-22lr-10-round

Super fun pistols for the price point.

Bought the Colt-Walther Gold Cup version about a month ago and yes parts interchange. Replaced the sear and sear spring in mine and trigger pull is quite good now. Factory sear angles looked to be set with a ball peen hammer. Sear spring was from Brownells and advertised as a lighter sear spring and definitely reduced the pull.

Only complaint I have is the slide and barrel don't line up well, had to move the front sight left and the rear sight right to get windage adjusted. My bad in a way, when it came out of the box the front was set a good 1/8 inch to the left and I figured the assembler had let it slip when tightening the set screw. Had I realized the issue I would have refused to accept it and had them send another. Wish someone made an oversize cap for the threaded barrel, would turn it off center to shift the slide (plenty of play in the slide).

NOTE: When doing dis-assembly and reassembly watch out for the plunger spring and plunger, they have a real tendency to fly. Lost several springs and plungers that way. A good mod is to lightly crimp the end of the spring so the plunger is trapped, can still fly but is easier to find with the spring attached.

Mine came with a 12 round mag and I picked up two more ten rounders from Taylor Tactical. They also carry a bunch of other stuff for 1911-22.

The pistol is about as accurate and fun to shoot %%% any other 22.

New Gold Cup in my hands. Feels really good in my hand. I was going to buy one at gun show here in San Antonio, but a local dealer gave me a better deal. Ordered 3 10 round mags from Optics Planet for $85.83 shipped to me. They won't ship for a week or two, but I'll be busy for a while and won't get to shoot it until Thanksgiving time.

Im pretty sure you will be happy with it. I've had mine since 2012 and have shot thousands of rounds through it. Great plinker for the price and the bashers are the ones who have never handled or shot one.
