I contacted DAMKO yesterday , and , I have decided to have them build me a new rifle . Some body has to be the "early adopter". They said they are gearing up for production . I will keep you posted , WHEN I get more information .

So far , so good . Communication today said the there is about a three month time horizon for my rifle . They did not ask for any money , until delivery . We shall see .

What caliber did you choose? Are you getting a special .22 lr? The rifle looks like the "Famous" Model 12 with a slender, short barrel.

Actually, the action is similar to the BSA cadet , with cocking indicator , but "stretched" to handle larger center-fire ammunition . I have asked for one of the standard configurations : 24" round barrel , in 30-30 Winchester . Search DAMKO's web site for the calibers on offer .

I do not have the gun yet , so , I cannot say . The builder did not promise anything about the trigger . No mention was made about a set trigger . I will try to keep this thread posted WHEN I have intel .

If I recall correctly the trigger pull is on their web site. Suggest asking about the trigger and how to adjust it.

Smile Again ?

A query yesterday brought a picture of pieces/parts and a cheery note that final fitting will start next week . We shall see . No final cost , but , no request for funding ! I'll let you know , whenever .

Wow, that's great, but expect a delay. They are right in the middle of two big fires. The Alemeda fire burned about 5 miles south of them and the Obenchain fire was about 5 miles north. I wouldn't be surprise if employees lost their homes.

That area has been pretty much shut down for the past week. They are opening back up. That is the valley I grew up in.
