Rim shape question

Is the front of the rim this slanted on all 17WSM ammo or is this American Eagle ammo the only one like this? The store I bought this at only had this brand so I can't compare. I'm really new to this cartridge so am trying to learn. Wayne

Yeah, that is the norm. The brass is formed from a Winchester .27 caliber blank that shoots studs into hard material.

You’re really going to like the way that cal. Performs on your South Dakota PDs.

Now the question is, "Do you have the .17 HMR or the .22 WSM?" I say this because I was in a hurry one day and grabbed a box of [what I thought] was .17 HMR that turned out to be .22 WSM. I have a .17 HMR.

A $12 mistake and I don't even know anyone that has a .22 WSM.

I just bought a box of American Eagle brand 17WSM. Thinking about building a rifle. I don't have a rifle to shoot the ammo with, just studying it. Not real wild about any of the rifle options available. Wayne

Only Winchester manufactures 17wsm ammunition.
All the rest are relabeled Winchester production.
Same box, same tray, same components, different labels.
