Bit on the pics in the ads.... Just ordered an HW35E Walnut. :-) As a CZ shooter, I'm weak for nice looking wood. Hoping the HW arrives with good looking timber. EDIT: UGH...OUT OF STOCK! Backordered.

Try Krale Scheitsport in the Netherlands. That's where I got my HW35E last month. Krale is about $100 less than USA cost and their delivery is superb!

FWIW, the HW35E is the 6th rifle that I've ordered from Krale. Tell em' the Oldgringo sent you.

3-4 days. The longest I ever waited was over a weekend and that was due to Customs leaving it on a table in Louisville while they went home for the weekend. If U.S. Customs dorks don't screw it up, you should have it a week sooner than from a U.S. supplier.

Good luck, Krale has been superb to me and many others on the GTA forum.

35

I also have a hw 35e. Great looking stock with short stroke recoil. I also have a hw 30 s with synthetic stock and a hw 95. The 35 and 95 are .22, and the 30 is in .177. The .22 guns are great for hunting and the 30 for plinking or target. Each gun has great bluing, but the walnut stock on the 35 makes it a true classic.

tnx for the reply Hogslayer. I'm eager to get the 35E Walnut. Any suggestions on stock "oiling" or waxing? Not planning on a re-finish, only something to jump start the patina of a beautiful piece of walnut.

Tnx Oldgringo for the good info. I've decided to wait for the backordered HW35E Walnut from AoA...they said they'd hand-select a nice one for me if they could have my business. :-) We'll see I guess. I did take your suggestion seriously though; added Krale as a "Favorite". :-) And speaking of GTA, are you on the German or Vintage forums? I recently joined, but spend most of my time here on RFC since I shoot rimfires for the most part, but dabble in German air rifles.

I'm more on the German Gate than the others but yes, I do frequent the GTA forum frequently.

I have several CZ 452's and a couple of 10/22's and three .22 handguns and oodles of .22 LR ammo along with a couple of AR-15's and centerfire CC pistols. Unfortunately, I've reached an age where it's much easier for me to take an airgun out the backdoor, sit at my bench on the covered patio and shoot airguns to my heart's content. Loading the truck with PB stuff and driving across town, unloading the truck, setting up and shooting then reloading the truck, driving back across town and unloading the truck has lost its appeal. I probably need to start unloading some .22 PB's.

Dennis and Chris at Krale hand picked my HW35E they said. At anyrate, I'm satisfied with it. I hope you enjoy yours.

OldGringo, thank you. And...perhaps I should brush-up on my Dutch? :-) I may give Krale a try for the "next one", perhaps an HW30S. I hear 'ya on the ease of air rifle shooting. Luckily for me we live on a mountain homestead/35 acres; shooting here is simply a matter of walking outdoors a wee bit and finding suitable/safe backstop. Having said that, air rifle shooting is even easier...I'm finding the craftmanship/engineering of the Weihrauch rifles on-par with my favorite rimfire, CZ452.

All this talk of Walnut HW35E's is making me begin to think that I have one too many CZ 452's and one too few HW35E's?
