I never heard of the Wranglers until today - interesting. And I just bought a GP-100 10 shot 22LR for a lot more money (used).

Isn't that always the way? But, it could have been worse; you could have just bought a S&W 617 10-shot revolver.

My local fun store has been trying to score some Wranglers for the past month. The supply line is slow

Bonus points if you can ID the laptop.

I know that the grips are interchangeable with the single sixs'.

Has anyone figured out if the entire grip frame is interchangeable?

Anyone take theirs apart yet?

There's a tread over on the Ruger forum about the Wranglers. One of the guys swapped out the grip frame for one from a Single Six. He said it took some massaging and file work but he got it to fit.

I borrowed this picture . . . I really like the way someone mix-n-matched the various parts to develop color schemes. Grip options are pretty cool too.

Saw my first Wrangler Monday at Academy Sports, full retail, silver in color. Heftier than I expected, a black one at a reduced price will likely join the herd eventually.

Stopped by my LGS yesterday they advised if/when they get them they'll be $199 also as MSRP is $249. I've seen them online for $179 if I'm not mistaken, hey I'm in no hurry got plenty of toys already.

the on line prices look good until you figure in 30.00 shipping and 30.00 transfer fee !my LGS also told me 199. on the black one I have on order, I will wait and pay 14.00 tax when mine shows up.

I'd gotten spoiled by a small shop who I did favors for (taking guns to and bringing them back from the gunsmith) doing transfers for me for free. They're gone now so, yeah I guess $199 and tax won't be too bad.
