Remington 591m accuracy, what to expect?

Log in to see fewer ads
I acquired a 591m over a year ago and I immediately took it apart to clean it, just now got it put back together and I ran a few rounds through it today... Despite it being 30 degrees outside (I was excited)

Question is what kind of accuracy can I expect? It's an old gun but cleaned up well and the bore looked nice and shiny. I shot some older Centurian until my fresh ammo comes in.
Thanks

The one I had was just sighted in at the range and then used for hunting. Sold it and kept the 592 tube feed. I bought them used back when word came out that Centurian ammo would be available. I was getting about 1" at 50 yards with the 591 and slightly larger with the 592. I think with some tuning and or bedding they can do better?

Cool thanks, it's a good feeling gun and shot great... Could definitely tell the rounds had some power behind them. I'll post some official results when the new ammo comes in, been waiting for that day for years!

Yeah that. Depends on the ammo weight, the quality of that particular batch, how I'm shooting etc.. Oh, and the wind!

I can handle 1/2" to 5/8" at 50 yards, that's acceptable for any sporter in my mind. Man I can't wait 'til spring so I can get outside and shoot more!
