I like the rail well enough I guess. It was well contoured to the receiver and really need zero bedding or adjustments. The rings, where perfect, steel, perfect height... but I went and ham handed them and snapped the screw. now I need to remember the brand and order another set.

ACE may be your huckleberry if you bring a screw in to match.

Ugh! I feel your pain and used to do this, often, till I bought an inch pound torque. I use it all the time and it has been one of my single best purchases. It saves me from myself, because I haven't snapped any screws in years.

Screws now are iffy, we dont know, but can suspect, where they are sourced from.
You have already paid for the rings and have them as a 'kit ready to modify', make the screw whatever you have in your bins and tap for if it is a goofy size.

Hello my friend, Good to see ya!

I have broken a few JUST LIKE THIS for sure... I have been looking and cannot find manufacturer... I was sure that they where Redfield HIGH But now not so sure. I know a local shop has ZEE rings and they are good, but these where perfect height...

I shot the range quick tonight to zero the rifle. I'm gonna hit a few spots tomorrow for Coyotes. Its breeding season and like Deer it is THE TIME to be callin' and shootin' them!!

Any how. I'm a bit surprised. After all I have done the sum total results is now the rifle shoots 25g bullets pretty well. But at the same time lost all accuracy I had with the 20g bullets.

I shot mostly at 50 and 200 yards. I also spent a lil time trying to figure out the hold over dots. I tried siting @ 50 then using next dot for 100. Then we t out to about 250. Then sited @ 100 and backed up to 50 then out all the way to 250 again.

Here is my 100y final with 25g bullets.

Here is 200 with all bullets I have. I have some 15g on order but haven’t seen them yet to try. Even tho its not great, it was after some 60-70 shots and we had gusting wind over 35mph. I tried to shoot between gusts, watching tall grass out at distance. But you know how that is.

CW

EDIT 2/12/19: Knowing now the scope was FUBAR... I amazed it was THIS GOOD!!

Hopefully I can get back out to the 200yard range and show what a solid scope lets it shoot like! I'm real happy with my rifle again!

Well I learned a fee things today...

Shot the WSM a bit today. Shot a few @ 50 and moved to 100...It was shooting 3” left! I adjusted it right...It dropped TWO INCHES!! I adjusted it up 8 clicks, next bullet impacted center, 6” high. (Top of target.) I adjusted 6 clicks down, last bullet impacted 8” low and inch or so right!!!

The brand new SCOPE CONFIRMED BROKEN!!

I suspected scope problems for a couple weeks. So i put a 4X Hawke in my bag. I mounted it on the firing line. (I was alone this afternoon) bore sited and was on the paper @50 yards. Adjusted and moved to 100yards. I shot all brands of ammo. EVERYTHING SHOT 1” or better!!!

Ill ship back the scope tomorrow. Probably be a while before I receive a replacement. Im gonna leave the Hawke on till it comes.

I'm actually relieved. I suspected the scope thats why I ordered the 20moa base. I hoped it was gonna be a soultion. Kinda makes ya wonder, if scope alone is source accuracy troubles.

Ah, the old/new 'cursed scope'!
How many times have we heard, 'put my old reliable xyz on and the new gun wont shoot groups', etc. At least with you we dont have to worry about the rail/bases NOT being checked out for proper mounting.
Reminds me of quite some years back when I almost bought a 'troublesome' Marlin 2000 for a song, I was going to pick it up that weekend at a shoot and the guy called me, said he went down that day with a different scope on it and it was bugholin'.

Talking

The scope I bought was a Bushnell Banner. They have been around for eons... most of us has likely owned one thru the years...

Im sending back today and have little doubt it will be made right. I HOPE QUICKLY... last one I sent was close to two months until return...

I wouldn't avoid them, Bushnell makes a good product, sometimes a lemon slips thru.

Well... I have confirmed that my brand new Busnell Scope is FUBAR...

Shot again yesterday and elevation moves resulted in windage changes. Also a 1/4 moa abjustment became 1.5 moa adjustments

I sent it back this morning. Mou ted up a old solid fixed 6x Bushnell Banner and went to the range and shot this @ 50 yards...

Then this same ammo out @ 100 yards. You will also notice 5 shot groups @ 100!

Very happy as this was with Federal 20g that NEVER SHOT WELL!!!

I'd keep any scope that made crappy ammo shoot well.
