Model 69 or 69A book

Log in to see fewer ads
Hello, it has been awhile since I have visited this sight. I am glad to have time to visit again, and you did not delete my login. Thank You.

There was talk a few years ago about someone writing a book about the Winchester model 69 rimfires. Did that ever happen? Can I get a copy?

Sorry if this has been discussed, but a quick search didn't turn up any good results.

Thanks everyone.

Yes, it is still on track to be in print in a few more months. It took much longer than I originally anticipated to gather all of the info but it should be out soon.

I will post here with an announcement as soon as it hits the shelves.

Best Regards,

Let me know,I'd like an autographed copy. But,I'll probably wear out the pages reading and learning from it and using it for references.

JWA, where will be the best place to purchase your book when it becomes available. I've been a fan of 69A's and 69's for over 50 years and am very much looking forward to your book, Thanks,Sebs

Hi Sebs,

I am not sure where the "best place" to purchase will be. It will be available through the publisher Shooting Gallery Publications, LLC and also via Amazon and eBay. I will also probably have some copies I will sell direct at a few gun shows around the country in 2019.

Although it is not in print yet, here is the Library of Congress Control Number: 2018914760 and the ISBN: 978-1-68454-169-0 for future reference when it becomes available.

I will immediately notify everyone here on RFC when it is in print and ready to ship.

Thanks to everyone for your interest and Happy New Year!

Best Regards,

Glad to hear it's almost here, JWA. We've been looking forward to it for a while. It sounds like it will be the most authoritative reference on any single firearm to date. I definitely want an autographed copy.

...and then we can start bugging you on these:

"...looking forward to is getting the 69 book off my desk so I can start on a 75 book, a 72 book and a 56/57 book ..."

Happy New Years!

I have already started on all three. Judging from the time it took to complete the Model 69 book I should be done with them by 2027.

Best Regards,

Please start with the Model 72 in case I'm not around to see 2027.
