I have always single loaded my .22 RF bolt actions and never felt the need for a pricey single shot adapter.

I just compared my factory Savage mags to Anschutz factory mags, I think with a little work they'd work. I have several 10 rounders, it may be worth sacrificing one to see.

Had an issue with a Wisner 52 magazine recently. The "bump" on the side of the mag that engages the mag release was rounded on bottom and flat on top. That allowed the mag to slip by the release and drop out occasionally. Was able to fix it by filing the bottom of the bump to put a flat engaging point for the release. Otherwise the Wisner mags have been very good, I use them in my Remingtons too.
