For that reduced price, those receivers are a steal.

I may buy more.

I'll be threading the receiver for a screw in Benchmark barrel .

Also using screw in barrels on both my my Ruger Charger and the M.O.A. stainless receiver... both of which have Lilja tight groove barrels. The M.O.A. shoots indescribably well, managing a perfect 250 on its first outing shooting an Appleseed with peep sights. Very excited to see how the Benchmark barrel performs in this Kingston receiver.

M.O.A. receiver build shown in this RFC thread
Do you have a link? I didn't see any.

Blackwolfe I'll report back how the receiver looks when it arrives in case you're interested. Heard the early ones were a bit rough. Hoping the ones this seller bought from Kingston were the later "smooth" ones.

I bought 10 of them a while back in consecutive numbers, it two groups. The ones I bought were in the white and they looked great.

I sanded them with 400 grit wet and dry sandpaper on a flat surface and then had them Nitride treated. They look as good, or better, than any other 10/22 receiver I own.

I had tried contacting them a long time ago when I first saw these pop up on GB. I was inquiring about the material, as I would love to do a color case hardened 10/22 with a high polish blued barrel, and a high-figure walnut stock.

Never heard back from them regarding the material though.

May have to take a chance on it for the $100 it would cost (receiver + shipping + transfer fee)

I received the two I ordered. The Power Custom bolts I have do not fit. There are some pin holes in the castings. I guess I have some polishing to do. The finish appears to be a dark black, rough sprayed on coating, but not really sure. I thought Parkerized finish has a green cast to it.

I have seen the factory parkerized receivers and compared them to the ones I had Nitride treated. They looked almost identical. I could tell the difference, but not by much. Some parkerizing does have the green tint to them but the Kingston receivers Iíve seen are black.

If someone is looking for a heavy duty receiver that looks just like a stock Ruger receiver, then these are the way to go. Besides, they are worth much more than they are selling for. Try to find a cast steel receiver and see what it would cost to make.

The Kingston receivers are not on sale any more price is now $89.95 each . They are cast steel and should take well to case hardening .

The Nitride treatment I had done on mine is a form of case hardening.

When I bought my receivers, they were in the white.

I was wondering what they would look like if they were color case hardened. I think they would look awesome.
