Fourbore, the eye placement on the t36 and the 40x are very similar.

Anyone have an idea about the Mueller website? It seems to have disappeared.

I think he meant that the entire website http://www.muelleroptics.com is down right now.

Just tried it again. Nothing but a dummy placeholder site.

They are back on-line, and the 40x is listed again.

Just ordered one off of Meuller's website. I tried earlier in the month and found (to my confusion) that the site was off-line.

I have really liked Meuller's 8-32x44 as a value scope. I have two and they have performed well, both in CF and RF. The only downside (from a purely personal point of view) is the 30mm rings. Those rings are more expensive, generally, and I have fewer of them around. Still, with the 40x Meuller is beating the Weaver T36 (another favorite) on price by a good $150 (or by $100 on a used T36) and the difference in price more than makes up for more expensive rings. If the Meuller 40x scope is clear and tracks? I think they will lead this segment for new BR shooters. But the proof of the the scoping is in the seeing (to mangle a saying). Will report back when I have seen how it performs.

To make a long story short, we had a big problem with a new web development company that created a new site for us and started hosting it onto a personal server, which was continually getting viruses, losing all our updates and taking the site completely down. We didnt know this company had moved our site to this personal server for several months and just recently found out and moved it back to the proper server and this should resolve any future issues. We apologize for the continuous down time

No apologies necessary from my point of view. Glad you have everything up and running. I enjoy your products! Glad you are putting them out there.

This is very tempting. I?ve got a couple rifles needing higher power scopes, and this might be the ticket. What rings are y?all using? How much eye relief does this scope have? I?ve never used a scope with this much power

I'm the second owner of a T-36 and the eyepiece inside to focus on the retical came loose. I emailed them and they said no receipt necessary even though it says so on the website.

I got this reply from them

Quote:
Thank you for your inquiry. Weaver will evaluate/repair scopes manufactured after 1984 (aluminum tube body) under warranty. Instructions for obtaining a Return Authorization Number can be accessed at www.weaveroptics.com . A sales receipt or service charge are not required. Weaver Optic no longer has an inventory of parts or equipment to repair scopes manufactured before 1984 (steel tube body - El Paso, TX address). The older rifle scopes can often be refurbished at www.ironsightinc.com .

But I really like Mueller optics, I'm looking at this 40x or their 8x32x44 tactical model.

My paypal keeps getting decline/not working on the Mueller website. Maybe a message, but I'd really like to hear from someone on their new 40x. Have a 6.5 grendel(same recoil as .223) that I planned on putting my t-36 on and need a replacement for the time being as I'm not sure how long the warranty thing will take with Weaver.

edit: landed on the fourth page I see. So one person is positive so far after reading the thread. I hope to see some pics of it on various rifles as just how big it looks.

Also to the Mueller guy on this thread. Security checks where I work prevent me from accessing the site. I'd say you need to get your web people in line.

Can you call and use credit card over the phone?

These should be available from dealers. I dont get it? I would not want a flip up cover for a target rifle. That aside, I bet a call will get your order placed or referral to a real dealer.
