WUG Rifle built by Pat S. out of Houston TX.

Remington 580 action with a Benchmark barrel. As you can see it's ALL handmade and pure custom.

It is a tackdriver.

(Edit rifle to 580 not 780. Thanks!)

I like your style sir. What does WUG stand for? I see a clamped barrel and free floating receiver. Got a match trigger? Am sure that rifle shoots awesome targets. Got an old CM2 that wanted to be rebarreled , maybe do that style of mounting. Thanks for the pictures. Pat S. a gunsmith? Enjoy your rifle.

Remington 780 does not compute, did OP mean 580?

Looks like a 580 action and bolt to me also, as well as factory trigger. So "All handmade and pure custom" must be talking about the stock.

Are those CO2 cartridges for bipod feet?

Actually this rifle does not belong in SuperStock Bolt but I have no idea where to move it. Open Rimfire? Benchrest? Remington? Not even close to SuperStock

I am not the owner of the gun and posted the photos "because" I think the gun .. and the guy that built it are to cool for school.

I pondered long trying to decide where to put the pictures of the World's Ugliest Rifle. The builder flies passenger buses for American and is simply a very talented amateur self taught machinist. There are so many little "cool" details on this piece you have to just look and then look again.

As far as the description of the rifle I may have taken a bit of literary license.....

It truly does shoot incredible little tiny groups when the conditions are right here is S TX.

Thank You Vincent for allowing me to show off my buddies "oddity."

Sometimes we have to be kind of strict as to what forum a firearm is placed in.

Other times it is not a big deal.

This is nothing like a SuperStock Bolt and probably belongs in Open Rimfire but then again it is kind of interesting to bend the rules a little sometimes and look at something that can only be described as "odd" I usually lean toward bending the rules to look at something different and that sometimes irritates some members but heck I as odd as it is I do not think it bites.
