How To POSTS

Log in to see fewer ads
If you want to do a "how to thread" start it. Reserve 4-5 posts ahead of time. TYPE YOU STUFF AND CLOSE the THREAD When you are all done you open the thread to discussion.

How many "How To" threads are done a year? No more than a couple most years. In fact only TWO have made the Tech Stickies since we started SuperStock.

I would like to see many more. I am afraid making this kind of RULE may not be the RFC way of doing things but if each Author of a HOW TO did what I just said we would have the same results.

It will be on YOUR shoulders guys. You know how to do it right? No rule is needed.

If you do not know how to set this up let me know and I will help. I do not even need to know what the topic is.

ALL threads are subject to RFC Rules of course.

Just like to add .When doing "how to threads" you can type them out in MS word or notepad and then start a thread here and copy past them into you posts. That way you can create a "how to" in just minutes and all the info is in the first posts.then a discussion can follow

I have done this on different forums .Reason is I cant type and my spelling is terrable LOL .Word gives me all the time I need and I have my wife check my grammar and spelling before I post.
When reading "how to" threads I respect and have more faith in what is written if it has correct grammar and spelling.

I can not stick his Mod 60 bedding thread because it was not written in this thread. Sorry.

The other two are stuck but I have to figure out how to move them into the "Tech" section

vince may i suggest something here???? if it was me i would create 1 stickie like you have.

eliminate all response in here, and add the how to's in here, otherwise you stickie section might explode, someone will open SS and all they will see is stickies

just a suggestion and maybe thats what your intentions are??

trying to be helpfull
