Great Hunt

I had a great squirrel hunt Sat morning ,it was cool with a little wind ,but i saw 1 bear,9 deer,1 raccon ,1 huge owl maybe Barned,2 pilated woodpeckers and i got 1 squirrel with my 580 Rem with the $25.00 Bushnell 6x40 scope. Most exciting day in the woods i have had in a while!

Thumbs up That would have been...

That would have been a great day hunting even if you hadn't fired a single shot!!! Some of my best days hunting I never drew back my bow or fired a shot.
Had a Carolina wren land on my left arm close to my wrist. It took 2 hops up my arm, then took off for parts unknown. I was in full camo, with the leaf-flage type camo and a mesh face mask. All I did was shift my eyes to watch the bird. I will admit that I was mildly concerned that the wren might think that my eyes were big juicy bugs, but then they would have been half as big as the bird!!! Never saw a deer that morning and never even took my crossbow off safety, but that was still a great day out in the woods hunting. Getting a deer after that... well I'm pretty sure that the bird landing on me would still have been the highlight of the day!!!
