New owner of a Mossberg 46M and 190KB

Log in to see fewer ads
HI Guys, I'm new here and recently aquired a Mossberg 46M 22 Rifle and a 190KB 16 GA rifle. I have never owned a Mossberg rifle before. They are in good shape and in good condition but they need a real good cleaning. Thanks to this forum I have found some real good information about the 46M. I would like to know how to strip and assemble these weapons to be able to clean them properly.

Thanks for your help!

Regards,

MadTrooper

Welcome Aboard Mad Trooper. I'm relatively new to Mossbergs also so I'll leave your questions for the experts! Just wanted to say hello, and welcome you to RFC in general, and the Mossberg group in particular.

Thanks for the welcome USCGret. Newbe question, I'm a Canadian Forces Army Veteran retired. Beside my name, I see a United States Army logo along with a United States Veterans logo. I dont want to mislead people. Should I uncheck these options on my profile information?

Thanks for your jelp!

Welcome to the Mossy Madness, I have fell head over heels into it myself.

On the other topic.. yes you Canooks need a maple leaf veterans label.
You and the Aussies, Kiwi's were so under rated in every single war for equal efforts / sacrifices.
Welcome aboard neighbor of the north!

Welcome aboard

Good to see another fellow Canadian on here. I get to know a few of us Mossberg owners in Canada as I supply parts to a few. Mostly it seems I supply information. I direct them to this site to keep up on information. Lots of info here. Just got back from a gun show where I saw a 152 T bolt and a 44US(c), oh and a M4(b) scope. - Bill

Sitting having lunch when I realized I miss typed - should be 142 T-bolt!

You're a vet Mad Trooper!! Did a little work with CF folks from time to time. Great to work with you guys. Just before I retired, I was up in Ottawa at the big firearms range a few KM out of town.

congrat on a couple great finds. As far as take down info, youtube is probably your best bet after you go through the stickies above.

Any 45/46A, 45/46B and 46M will have a similar takedown, Just the M has a extra take down screw up front on the forearm. And then once you get it apart and have questions, plenty of members here that can help you with it.
