Marlin 15

I came across this Marlin 15 several weeks ago at a local pawn shop. A Japan made Tasco scope was mounted on it. Even though it is a single shot, I couldn't get it out of my mind, and last weekend I brought it home. The scope which is in excellent condition and clear as a bell. I don't have any use for it and will probably let it go. The squirrel stock was a mystery when I first saw it, but a little research with Brophy convinced me it is original to the rifle.

Very good condition for a gun that old (probably late 70's).

I have had Model 100's and 101's, but never saw a 15 or 20.

This was the first one I'd seen and was initially confused with the squirrel embossed stock. From Brophy, with the demise of the Glenfield brand in 1982, the model 15 continued under the Marlin name for one year, 1983, as a promotion model. Hence the squirrel stock. The serial number on mine shows a manufacture date of 1982. With this information, I felt like the rifle would be a good purchase.
