I've checked all the usual sources and everyone is out of stock. I did buy a silver one from Natchez a few weeks ago but I want a black one with the 1/8 moa dot reticle. I guess I'm going to have to buy a Sightron.

That could be your gain. I've had both and for me the Sightron 36x was a much better scope. The T-36's were Ok, but the Sightron was much clearer at 100 yards. Just my experience....

No dot reticle. My eyes have a hard time with the fine crosshairs only.

No. That is the XR with side focus, which I don't prefer. I just want a plain old T-36. Thanks anyway.

Weaver T-36

As I understand, the "old" t-series are discontinued. I have a T-24 coming from Optics Planet--Amazon had T-36's available as of a couple days ago.

Weaver is gone. Bought out by Vista Outdoors (Bushnell). The have thrown out all repair parts and if you need repair work you will pay for it through one of the independent scope repair places.

No more parts or repairs really irks me. If it weren't for ATK (CCI and Alliant powder) I'd not buy anything else from Vista ever again. Might switch to Euro/Brit ammo. RWS, SK and Eley beat CCI anyways. grrrrrr

Unhappy Weaver T-series XR scopes

I have 2 of the Weaver TRX scopes in 36X (no dot). I really liked the scopes but starting to have problems with my eyes & fine crosshairs. Are there any independent scope repair places that can add dots?

Optics Planet still lists everything they ever sold. If you go there and click on it it will say "out of stock".
