Can anyone give me an example, including the part number, of a 3rd party manufacturer's stock that fits on and works with the 15-22?

Thank you!!
BinaryWeapon - I have two S&W 15-22's - The first was acquired just after they became available and the second I purchased a couple years ago. I never liked the heavy triggers so I replaced them and the other annoying item was the stock & grip. The stock was very loose and the pistol grip was hard, slippery, as well as just plain uncomfortable. I had enough invested with the CMC trigger groups, scope mounts and 2x7 scopes so I wanted to keep the cost down. I found the following Hogue set on sale for $50 and bought one to try it out, liked the fit & feel so put another set on the other 15-22. I like the slightly tacky feel of the pistol grip (like most hogue grips) and the stock fits very snug, so it does make it a bit of an effort to move, but I like the solid feel and lack of rattles. I usually collapse the stock to put in the case and extend it when I want to shoot it . . . so it's not a big deal. Easy to install, but keep track of those springs & detent when working on the pistol grip.

Here is the description & link to the Hogue website & specific item:

Sku: 15056

I modified an A2 stock to fit 15-22 without modifying the fake buffer thingy.

I basically hollowed it out until it fit snugly.
Not perfectly, but it will do.
Stencil marks the problematic part.
I pinned it in place (pen points to the pin).
