New to CZ, how does this look?

After much reading, seeing the accuracy and handling a few I am looking at building a CZ455 because I want SS action. Plan on the following for the setup

455 SS 22lr rifle, sell off the stock and barrel
Rigid Alloy chassis w/ longer hand guard
Hogue finger groove grip w/ beavertail
XLR style buttstock w/ possible folding adapter
WhistlePig 16.5", fluted/threaded 17hm2 barrel
DIP 25moa scope rail
Yo Dave trigger
JKL Precision bolt know extension

Am I missing something?

If the YoDave doesn't suffice that is the upgrade I'd do.

I can feel it coming from someone.....

PRICE??

Price doesn't matter.
What matters is the challenge and the satisfaction. The chase.

Thats why we do what we do.

Good luck on your build.
I'm gonna build a Star Wars rimfire, one day.

This. It's the best thing I've ever done for any of my CZs.

What are you missing? Most of the time we build a rifle for a purpose. What is yours? Hard to give you feedback with out an understanding of what you hope to accomplish and do with your rifle. Personally, I don't see doing all that you propose for a 17m2, but that's just me. On the other hand, it may just be the perfect rifle for YOUR purpose. Either way, it doesn't sound like you are building a gun with collector appeal or with the idea to pass it down for generations to come. What is its purpose? Burt

It's purpose? To be a gopher hammer and be super cool while doing it.
I'd even thought of a SS Lilja 17hm2 barrel but I like my barrels short, fat and stiff. Lilja is 440 plus the cut and threading to 16.5" so the Whistle pig is a comprimise. I know there are many ways to get to where I am going and the CZ 455 fills my wants for the most part. One thing I dislike on all CZs is the 11mm scope grooves and having to use an adapter for a rail. Just a personal peave of mine. I also am a a stage in my guns/hunting that I enjoy "custom built" so to say.

Ammonia will take the blueing off hence the ss look. I did that to my Rem 597-17HMR HB.

I kinda like that 455 ss gun bone stock. That aside, the new 457 is the latest and greatest and comes with a new & improved trigger. There are perhaps (?) less accessories available today for the 457, but; going forward the 457 will be supported. I think some 455 stuff maybe already be "out of stock". There will be more options over the long haul to reconfigure a 457.

My one and only 455 needed to have the receiver bedded. I hope or assume the chassis will solve that problem. I dont know. Unfortunatly, the CZ forum is not always the best place to get unbiased reviews. I had hoped the 457 would address that problem. And it may have. There is only one way for me to find out and I dont need another cz rimfire. First you need an admission that some 455 had a problem and credible analysis of a 457 solution. FWIW, There is a steel lug in the new 457 stock. A chassis should render the whole point mute.

I've never used a BScar trigger but I have a Langley for a 455 that's just 1.4oz & in my opinion the best I've tried. You can also get a fly trigger which work very well but very hard to get adjusted. Where do you get a VScat & what's the weight & price? Thanks!

I put my name on his wait list and he emailed me with 24hrs. I wasn't sure what weights to get but I like a 1lbs trigger so went with 1st stage is 6oz and 2nd is 8oz. He sends a couple extra springs to fine tune is my understanding. I've never had a trigger of this caliber before and am excited on how this project is taking shape.
Bill is very much a gentleman and general nice guy. His prices are right on the website.

I surely hope I get to shoot it some before the iceberg forms up here.
