Does anyone know what has happened to Art?

I had helped him with some of the score keeping duties in the past. My health had gotten worse and I quit. My health has improved to the point of wanting to help again. I see Art has not posted for a few months. Is he ok?

Good shoot'n

Nice shooting David. Do you find,as I do,that your first target is generally your best? A lot to do with eyesight in my case. The same holds true on the trap field. My first round is usually the best score. It ain't easy getting old. Can't imagine what it was like back when a fellow really depended on these skills.

Which target is best ?

Which target is best depends on a couple of factors. Early in the day there is usually less wind, which makes for better targets. First target may have the rifle not yet shooting the best due to a lack of carbon build up at the chamber and due to it still warming up. I do try and fire at least 15 rounds prior to the first target, but I think the rifle needs to absorb the heat. At Florida, we can't get into the range until 9am, so light is seldom a problem. I have been pretty lucky with my eye sight. I do have to wear glasses which correct the focus and stigmatism mostly. I seldom will shoot off of a bench more than two hours, so not really getting tired. And so far I have been able to handle the recoil ok.

I need to wash up and take my wife to lunch, back on line later.

200/11X, Tom Billeter, Tucson AZ
Remington 40X, PNW rear, Freeland front, Eley CMP
Cowan front, Protektor rear
50/3X, 50/X, 50/4X, 50/3X = 200/11X

Nearly all the geezers present. I got so excited I forgot my range box and rest. Had to go back and get it this morning. No wind yesterday. I was going to shoot trap today. The winds were so high they didn't even have the speakers set up. I took the hint and went back home.

Match Scores

Good day Ladies & Gents

My name is Chuck and I used to help Art with the scores for some of the matches here. Art has disappeared, I have not been able to find him.
I would like to keep up the scores for 3 of the matches Art took care of.

The:
10 Bull Benchrest Scope Sight Rookie matches - 25 & 50 yd
Benchrest 50 yd. Iron Sight Matches with NRA A-23/5 target

That is if the rest of you guys that actually shoot these matches agree.

Will take a few days before I can work on this, so we have a couple of days for
comments.

Comments.

I don't shoot either of those matches you listed but it sounds good to me and I'm sure would be appreciated by most.

Match Scores

Have not forgotten about this. Found myself with lots of thing going on just before deer season. As soon as it starts and I return home early on some days will get started getting things together.
