Scope Power Issues

I have been shooting my target rifle with a 24x target scope and really seems to work well for me. I had gotten rid of my 36x scopes but recently picked up another one and decided to give it a try again. First thing I noticed is that it magnifies a bad spot in my right eye as well as amplifies the cloudiness from my cataract. Does anyone else have that problem? I may have to go back to a 24x scope but I sure would love to have that extra power.

Are you sure the "spot" isn't in the scope?

I have floaters and cats and the more mag, the better I see and shoot. It is not a close call.

I love my 5.5-22 scopes but they are a PITN to try to shoot tiny groups with, compared to my 36x scopes with equal glass and reticles. If you really want to see, get a high-quality scope that goes up to 45x or higher.

SP it may be in my scope at least every time I put my eye up to it. It's also in my peep sights, target sights etc. Lol

No its definitely in my eye, it's a spot in the lower right quadrant that comes right to about center. On peeps, the smaller the hole the more it narrows my vision and make it very noticable. I think on a high power scope it has the same effect. It seems like I can get away with going up to 24 power but beyond that it makes the lower right quadrant up into the center blurry. My right eye has also gotten a little bit blurry this last year. I'm going to approach the docs again about removing my cataract.
