I was shocked to find this today at a small local gun show.

If you look closely you can see the serial number repeated on the box label and the word "Short" written as well.

No, I got back from the show too late to shoot it. I will definitely try it out back tomorrow after the U of Wisconsin football game. Its supposed to rain all weekend so I'll just shoot it at my 30 yard gong from our screened porch..

Now that is cool! I didn't even know that those existed. And that little beauty is in pristine condition. Great find! I just noticed that it is made in France, that must be why it looks unfired. Can I ask what you had to give for that? If you don't want to say, I understand.

I just fired it. I hit my gong 5 out of 5 times, but I have to admit its a 10" pie plate. I also found some other interesting things about it. Despite having an aluminum slide, it definitely needs high speed shorts to work. Also, the slide does not stay back on the last shot. All I would say about the price is that it was a bargain.

The PP Sport in .22 Short was available with the long barrel of 8.25 inches and 6 inch barrel, as well. The C models are usually equipped with a single action trigger. Standard grips were brown plastic that were curved forward and extended downwards. There were also barrel weight available for them or the barrel weights for the LP53 were often used, as well. This pistol was shot at the old style UIT rapid fire (duel) target at 25m.
The trigger of the PP Sport is not the best that I have experienced - especially when compared to a Hammerli International - but it is a great plinker.

I had this weight made for my short PP Sport and blued it myself.
