I have searched through my Winchester Model 52 book by Houze and can't find the answer to a question I have. I would like to know the designation number for a 52C made in 1956 with a standard barrel, Lyman 77 front sight, and Lyman 48FH rear sight. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think the 48FH was ever offered on any C model. I know they were offered in various configurations for the Std Wt and Hvy Wt B's.

So, my 52C may have come originally without sights. Thanks.

I think sights were optional in those days. Probably the best choice for the M52-C were the Olympic sights in those days. Very common practice. Big Larry

My early C brochure show's the standard weight w/2 options: No sights and Redfield 63 front w/Olympic rear. The heavies had several options for sights.
