Glass is a Leupold VX3 4.5-14x40 FD AO. Pulled a clean snake thru the clean but generously oiled bore and fired for effect @ 40 yds and stacked the first 3 rds.. The vertical was not quite where I wanted it this time so I adjusted the vertical POA closer to POI. Gun's still hinky in general but the HB barrel and that particular lot of Win 20grn are stellar.
Deductions: no cold bore flyer for some victim of opportunity!

That's pretty much what I am going to do this morning. I think my chamber doesn't get clean with my .17 brush so I bought a .27 cal brush to clean the chamber.

After cleaning I am sighting in my rifle like you, Al. My barrel is a pencil barrel. Yeah, it heats up quick but cools down quick, too.
