+ shipping + sales tax came to just over $255, local shop had one for $345 looks like the sight picture is what sold me on it. I hope it shoots as good as it feels.

I ordered one of these, $253.59 delivered.

I only want the action and stock, so the barrel and rear sight assembly will probably go up for sale pretty soon.

Have never seen one of these collector series in person, anyone have an idea if you can remove the rail and just leave the rear sight? Also how is this stock?

I pulled the trigger, so to speak, on the MBF last night. For the price it is too hard to pass up...my son will be getting it for his birthday, minus the $25 gift certificate and MBF sign.

I have one of these, and no, the rear peep sight is integral to the rail. Speaking of which, the right front corner of mine was touching the barrel, leaving a bare spot. The rail is gone for the time being to be ground down to straight with no bend.

The included $25 coupon and 95 cents will get you the Monte Carlo stock module to use with a scope.

Of the ammo I've tested so far MY rifle seems to like Federal American Eagle 40gr CJHP. Also CCI Standard Velocity. When it cools off some I'll try the high priced target ammo and report.

Looks like the 50th anniversary design contest winner in a different color and without a threaded barrel.

Not only unthreaded, but uncrowned as well. Just a straight cut.
