They clearly set their sites on the aftermarket market.

that stock should be offered as models with their Target Lite and LVT barrels installed

ETA: just so you know what's being talked about

Wouldn't you consider paying $725 for one be somewhat of a crap shot?

Just a WAG, but I'm thinking the target audience (NPI) is more the type who've seen the kinda' custom 10/22's RFC-ers build, but are afraid to dive into DIY modding.

I'm also guessing it's probably safe to say that you can build a better rifle on that budget. Not that it doesn't have it's place with certain buyers, and it is nice to see Ruger responding to the market, albeit a day late and a dollar short (actually a lot of dollars too much!). But it amounts to Ruger trying to copy what aftermarket builders have been accomplishing for years.

Id bet Youd still have to send it to CPC to get it to shoot sub MOA!

But think about it , fancy receiver $200, fancy barrel$200, fancy trigger $200 , fancy bolt and charging handle $ 150, fancy stock $200. Fancy Rail and pins and block $50. So there you go $1000. Ok you could go cheaper and spend $700.

Really not a bad deal .

I just dont like the stock.

Your wish list is in no way relevant to the rifle Ruger want' $725 for.

Nothing against Randy but his work doesn't make the barrel a $200 dollar barrel or the BX a $200 trigger for $225. If it did Tony and Fred would be out of business.

I never understood that either. Send this or that to Randy and it will be a shooter. I just buy the right stuff in first place and build my own shooter that shoots to my standards from day 1.
