L/cpl 0331 ground powder here,I got a personal thank you to any corpsman
USS Ponce,USS Coronado,USS Inchon,USS Shreveport ,an LST I can't recall right now and the USS Charleston a freighter type ship we climbed down the nets to get of her,old corps!a big salute to the rest of the squids

Wife did 4 as a corpsman, corp-person?, short arm inspector, including 2 yrs in Japan, and never saw a ship.

Corpse-person? Yeah, the ratings are all about the guys, from when before wimmen were allowed. I knew a guy was an airedale, 4 years and never set foot on a ship. He could have used a short arm inspection before he left Japan. He brought his wife home a nice present that was nothing to clap about.
