I have one that I had on a 9422. It now resides on a BL-22. They work well and are accurate once you get them dialed in. No so easy to adjust windage with any precision. Elevation is easy though.

They work great for hunting if you're not going to do any sight adjustment. If you want to adjust elevation while you're hunting, forget it. They're "set and go" sights. Pretty much a fixed sight once it's adjusted.

I've long wanted the NECG Grooved Peep Site. Seems like it would be a big improvement over the Skinner.

Sure. Poke around Google and you will find threads on the topic in other forums. There are even some here at RFC.

The NECG sight is all steel - and made to a very high quality.

The only thing that cannot be done with the NECG peepsight is to have a ghost ring via removing the aperture, since the threaded aperture is also the elevation adjustment set screw.

Drilling out the aperture to a ghost ring size also doesn't work, because when that's done, the sight picture is pinched on both sides by the sight's inner sidewalls.

If the Skinner clip-on peepsight was available when I bought the NECG sight, I would have bought the Skinner in a New York Minute.

Being top-mounted sights, however, they both (along with the Williams WGRS) require a front sight blade that's taller than the issue front sight to zero the rifle.
