I have been after this Colt for 22 years. Its too long a story to tell using my 1 finger typing technique.

Very nice.

I would like to see the history of it.

22 bankers special

That looks super nice. Congrats on getting one super nice revolver after 22 years. After waiting 22 years, I hope you shoot it very often.

Nice colt there.

I was hunting/searching for a sample to fill a niche. But moved onto other more affordable Colts.

It shoots very well, but I have to admit that my 2" S&W kit gun is a little more accurate due to the better sights,

Julian Hatcher was favorably impressed by this model coupled with the new "Hi-Speed' LR hollow points in 1931 or 1932.

Gorgeous gun! Love looking at the good detailed photographs of it.

Have long dreamed of acquiring a .22 Bankers Special.

Being a retired career banker I've had a .38 Bankers Special for many years. Carried it in a Detective Special pocket holster the last week before I retired end of March of 2016.

The .38 Bankers Special is quite controllable and accurate in rapid-fire double-action shooting. The .22 is bound to be even more so. Perhaps General Hatcher was on to something.

Only thing is, that checkered trigger with which these Colt revolvers are equipped will rasp away one's trigger finger "meat" in no time, limiting how much double-action practice he wants to undertake.

Dreams such as this can be easily fulfilled. Just depends on what you're willing to pay to fulfill the 22 Bankers dream.

Op. Nice Bankers!
