Kirby999 (H&R 999?),

Two of my favorites are the 32 mag single 6 (or 7) and the 45 convertible blackhawk.

The 32 mag and 327 are very handy and potent revolvers that nicely compliment the 22LR versions. I chose to pair back my acquisition of 22LR in favor of a 32. I now have equal numbers 22 and 32. I really like the 32.

The 45 convertible is a recent and my best choice ruger revolver ever. The gun performs extremely well with federal 45 acp from Walmart. The one 45LC load tested was actually less accurate that the 45acp. I get easy 2" five shot groups at 25 yards. I read the 9mm is not so good. Then I read a lot and it not all true. The Blackhawk grip is small, single six size. I found some old pachmayer grips.

I believe the single six is best sized for the 32 and blackhawk is sized for 45. Right size, right feel for these calibers. For a 22lr Ruger revolver, keep a few dollars aside for a Lipsey bearcat with adjustable sights. Another "right size" handgun.

As long as we're wishing. . . . I would like a single six any barrel length chambered in a new cartridge 25-28 caliber straight wall, using 70- 110 grain bullets. About 1500 fps should be about right for the 110 grain bullet.

I'd like to see a Single-TEN 6.5" and a 9.5" in Stainless Steel.

I have the buckeye and it a nice gun. Big. A novelty and become more a collector than a shooter for me. The 32 H&R and 32/20 ammo are hard to come by. These guns are over priced, collector guns. I got mine new for reasonable. The OP was asking about single-6 and all the guns he listed were 22LR. I cannot add to that list, seems like overkill already. Overkill is fine.

I will agree with the prior suggestion for a Lipsey (adjustable sight) Bearcat.

And I will add the single 7 in 327mag. A right sized 32. This has the versatility of shooting mild 32 longs. The 327 is amazing power for size and very effective on small game. I mean dead in their tracks, effective!

Given Rugers current quality control and my own prejudice, I would shy away from any fixed sight Ruger.

I was just thinking, if we are going to wander of the single 6/7/9/10 reservation into Blackhawk territory; my favorite is the 45 convertible.

I like the 5.5" barrel. I also want a steel grip frame and that is only available in stainless. Th 45 acp is low cost and accurate. I read some complaints about the accuracy of the 357/9mm with 9mm. The acp is very good. The 45 Colt ammo a bit pricey, but; a real classic and popular with cowboy shoots. Lots of ammo choices.

The Blackhawk grips are small for me. Same size as single 6. I use pachmayr rubber grips. They fit me better and the gun becomes very mild mannered.

I guess I should have clarified my original post . I was thinking rimfire Single Action wish list . Oh well .

Anyways , I was sitting around thinking today . Thinking about the Ruger Wrangler, and the Ruger LCRX
I wished Ruger would make a Single Six like the LCRX . A 4 5/8” aluminum shrouded barrel like the LCRX , aluminum frame and back strap. Steel Fluted cylinder of course . And while I’m dreaming , make it a 22/22mag Convertable. Imagine , a super lightweight Single action revolver.
heck make it a ten shot 22 Lr and a 9 shot 22 mag .

It can be done and I think it would sell .
I’d buy a couple .
