Well I thought I was able to buy mine at a fair market value. I suspected this one would break $2,000. https://www.gunbroker.com/item/821264329

You chose well. Lovely stock on that red label.

Remington use to make light recoil 3/4 oz 20 ga loads. Usually 1100 FPS. Perfect for introducing new shooters to Skeet or five stand. Have not bought any in a long time as I roll my own shells But worth check their online catalog to see if they still make them. If you buy a reloading press, light 3/4 oz 20 ga recipes are available from most powder makers.

Rio and other European makers usually have mild 7/8 oz loads at 1100 FPS. They would be my second choice for new shooters or multiple rounds of Skeet or Clays.

I bought my 2000 26" 12ga SS new and have always loved it. I mainly hunt Quail and Chukar with it.

That is any weather, any where, any time version. Nice case, too. BTW, where did you get that case?

It's a SKB and it's not cheap, but it's FAA approved which was important to me.

I called Ruger today to order the thicker recoil pad. They asked for my serial number, name and zip. They confirmed my shipping address and said it's on the way.

... Uh, what do I owe you? I asked.

"O' don't worry about that. It'll cost you more to ship it. You should get it in a few days."

Dang! It's little things like that, that win costumers' for life.

I got my blued receiver 20 ga 26" fixed chokes Red Label when they first came out. I got mine from J&G Sales from the old Shotgun News and paid extra for nicer wood (not as nice as the pictured one).

Used it hunting Mtn. quail in western OR and gave it ALOT of TLC. Later I picked up Red labels in 28 ga. & 12 ga. but SS receivers.

With their value increasing they're safe queens, and I'm replacing them with cheaper CZ and Stevens O/Us since I don't have to worry about those up in the brush/woods

I finally was able to get out and try it. Love it! I think the smile on my son's face summed our first over & under experience best:
