Volquartsen Clearance Uppers

Seeing as how I like to pinch pennies and stretch my shooting funds, I keep an eye on the Volquartsen clearance page on the website. I love Volquartsen designs and parts, but I try to keep my credit card balance at zero. With the advent of the Ruger Mark IV, the Mark III stock has been discounted. Over the past few months, I have found a couple of good deals, including a stainleess threaded 5.5-inch Mark III upper for $200. I paired that upper with the Volquartsen bolt and lower used with my Tactical Solutions upper when it had to go back to Tactical Solutions for repair.

The combo is quite well balanced for off-hand shooting although I get fatigued with it during long strings. It is the first Mark III upper I regularly use, much preferring the older actions. The only issue is I cut my finger cleaning around the LCI area of the chamber.

Current clearance upper offered: https://volquartsen.com/inventory_configurations/1291

Volquartsen is running a Black Friday sale that provides a 25% discount to all Clearance page products. There is a hard chrome stainless LLV that is $250 before the discount. With shipping, the LLV upper is $222.50. https://volquartsen.com/inventory_configurations/1313

I bough the Firefly bolt from the clearance page. Combined with my suppressor it fires CCI Quiet ammo in one of my 10-22s reliably and is stupid quiet.
