I rarely see those rifles around..I guess what is in the country is being hoarded away. The last one I saw with the "Carbon fiber look" barrel sold quick for $800.

So far I have not seen an Izhmash made rifle that didn't shoot extremely well. Inclusive of both the Baikal branded rimfire and centerfire rifles.

Every rimfire Baikal I've shot either matches or outshoots my CZs....Same said for the Tula TOZ rimfire rifles... I find it somewhat amazing considering many of the Russian made models have hard chromed bores.

The Russians certainly know how how to make a barrel on a production rifle and are pretty sharp on machining.

If they would make some effort to put some elegance in the external fit/finish I think they could rival the great makers of firearms...

Slingworks; When the CM2,s were being imported (Obama stopped it) they sold new for $299 with sights and a cleaning rod. The rival very expensive [email protected] shoot.

This one has sights but no box or cleaning rod. How do you tell the difference? Bbl is about 9" longer than the forearm. Stippling on the forearm is like the top rifle on the patio table above. So maybe a cadet..
Here she is.

Patience0830, that is a Cadet.

The stock and barrel on the full size (Adult) CM2 are longer. Below is the full size CM2.

Pull the trigger, hold it to the rear and the bolt will slide right out.

Hmmm. I'll give it a better tug when I get back home. Tried it but it was a bit stubborn so I didn't want to press the issue until I asked someone.

On mine, I had trouble getting it back in...wiggle it up and down a bit and it should come out. There is enough slop on mine that the bolt needs to be angled in the right direction to clear all the hard bits.
