The last picture is the left side of the second rifle .
The top rifle has an 18” Fluted GM , the second a 16.5” Fluted GM .
I have another stock on the way and an 18” solid bull SS GM that I’m planning on cutting to 16.25” .

The top rifle with the 18” Fluted GM Barrel got a barrel swap this afternoon.
I chopped my other 18” SS GM bull barrel to 16.25” and put a quick crown on it .
I’ll take a new picture next range trip . Kirby

Looking good.

You got it bad. If you come home some day, and family is all gathered waiting for you, Watch out, its an intervention.

Those are nice!!!! I think I commented in another thread that those are my favorite type rifles....Wood sporter stocks with stainless barrels. I have an LVT and another I built on an LVT stock with a 20" kidd stainless barrel that are their cousins. Which one of the three shoots the best?

Love em!

Actually they are pretty close , right now , depending on which ammo I use in each .
I’m enjoying this stock shape for bench shooting . I’m on the verge of getting my grip/hold figured out .
I shot two cards with “Stubby II “ today , one with Norma Match and the other with Tac22 . At 25 yards the Match shot a 242-4X and the Tac22 shot 244-4X
I also shot a card with the Fluted barreled one I haven’t named yet . I shot it with SK+ and had a decent score going until a commotion at the range rattled me and I dropped 6 points on the last three bulls . All three shots were 12 o’clock 8 ring. . Ended up with another 242-2X .
The Fluted Barrel is new , and is shooting pretty good from the beginning. But the two I chopped shoot better than I thought they would with me hack sawing 3.75” off them , and crowning them with a Dremel rotary stone , using my fingers , only for power .
They all have some aluminum tape for bedding in front of the receiver and a small inner tube pad on the far end of the forend .
I’m going to have to continue my “Quest for a 250” here on the SuperSport Heavy forum . Kirby

I just noticed I forgot to take a picture of Stubby II while at the range today . I do it next trip . Later this week depending on the weather .
And I forgot to mention , I have another walnut stock OTW for build #4 . It’ll have a 16.5” blue Fluted Green Mountain Barrel. Kirby

Hey Kirby, very nice trio ! Can you give us a general idea of the weight of one of those rifles minus the scope if you have that info. Seriously thinking about going this route for a squirrel rifle if the weight isn't a factor. Thanks.

Less than 8# with a 16” Fluted Barrel . The solid .920 barrels are pretty heavy even at 16.25” . I wouldn’t want to carry one around very long .
Ideal barrel for a Squirrel rifle would be a 17” Heavy Taper . They shoot unbeliveable too . Kirby
