I go through S. E. Idaho every summer on my way up I-15. You have nice land up in your state. It sure is nicer in the summer.

thanx for the greeting yall... so out of curiosity is there a hometown type forum or thread other than this one? thus far seems to be a better grade of folks here at rfc... gettin out on rimfire only shoots or hunts with other locals would be a good thing imo...

and texas has a couple of major advantages over az... but most of all is the hog huntin... id love to get over there n bring some fresh bacon home...

Bob in west Phoenix

Hello all you desert rats. I just wanted to reply to this thread to tell you I live in W Phoenix and might like to get together sometime with other rimfire shooters. I sometimes shoot at the Joe Foss range in Buckeye

I also shoot there, almost every weekend. I shoot a older BSA target rifle, a temperamental Valmet Lion and a Buckmark pistol. Lets get together, Mark

Resurrecting this thread. Temp highs are in the low 100's and tolerable. Anyone interested in showing this newbie what a .22LR can do? Can meet at Joe Foss or Ben Avery.

Sounds like a plan. I'm hoping to mount an aperture sight to my CZ by then. Maybe others will want to join also.

i live in florence. the national guard range here would be ideal but, in our litigious society, i don't expect they will allow it.

alternatively, the prison used to have a range open to the public. there wasn't much there, just a place in the desert but it's been used for a long time. i'll have to drive out that way and see if it's still open.

I moved to AZ back in May. It'd be nice to get out and shoot some with folks rather than just making solo range trips
