Smack dab in the middle of Minneapolis (just north of the U of M campus).

Where does everyone like to shoot? I've been to Bill's in Circle Pines a few times out of desperation but would really like to have other options.

I'm on the North East side of town near Maplewood.

I shoot at Bills Circle Pines. I'd love to find a range where I could shoot at multiple targets, steel plates, etc. Shooting straight ahead at paper can be helpful but it gets boring after a while.

I shoot at BVPistol. Paper punching at 46yds is not the greatest for $16.05 but I guess since I have no where else to shoot that is just the way it is. Maybe this means that I need to spend more time in the field.

I have been to Bills gun shop a couple times to check out there inventory but never had the chance to shoot... I imagine it is just about the same as BVPistol unless they have a longer range...

What rimfires are you guys into?

Just got a CZ Varmint .17HM2, CZ .22 Trainer, Ruger MKII Target 5.5 Bull Barrel.

Bills is about 50 yards indoors.

I've kinda been collecting rimfires lately.
Ruger MK II 678G - I love this gun! I bought it new in the 80's
Ruger Single Six - Super fun single action revolver that's pretty accurate. Everyone should have one of these!
*cough* three 10/22's in the last 5 months...

OK. Yea, I'm a Ruger fan.

I am north of Anoka...member of Minnetonka Game & Fish by St.Francis. All outdoor range.
Building my "Ultimate" now. Have a 10/22T and a DSP w/ GM heavy sporter, and a Winchester 75
Sure like shootin these rifles.
I could set up a shoot at my club when weather turns nicer. Besides a dedicated smallbore range, we have gravel pit type ranges where one sets up their own targets. Could shoot steel/paper/spinners. Whatever ...as long as you bring it.

Sparks ,if you set something up for down there when it quits snowing and blowing let me know or post it, I'd be interested. I'm a retired Sparky and I'd come down to a shoot.

I shot an IR 50/50 match at MF&G. Nice place. I was impressed.

I shoot rimfire benchrest at Bill's, but it's pretty difficult because the benches are very flimsy and wobbly.

I'd be up for a shoot sometime.

I agree that winter has to come to an end before a shoot can be set up. MG&F is a private shooting range, so the number of guests would have to be somewhat limited. We could only take over one range, as I have to be with all guests. Got in trouble a few years ago with some guests at the benchrest range and some at the IDPA "gravel pits".
I would suggest the 100yd "overflow" range. We could shoot out to 100yds but as close as 25yds. I will subscribe to this post and let ya'll know.
I am am active sparky...at least for now. Work picture is bleak.

Cool

Sparks. Map Quest says I am 62 miles away but hey that sounds like a great time. I think I may be able to talk the wife into making a day out of it.

Sparks- MG&F looks like a mighty fine setup!

Spike- I though I had it bad. I have access to a ruger 10/22. Fun plinking gun for sure. I would like to get a Super Single Six I always liked the wheel guns but really love automatics. Thanks for the info on Bills range length. I will continue to use BVpistol for the time being since it is a 20 minute drive as opposed to a 40 minute drive. I would like to rent a machine gun some time I think that would be entertaining, brass flying everywhere!

TH3180- Where do you shoot?

Until a more formal get-together can be arranged, does meeting up at BVP or Bill's in the near future sound good? I've got a few rifles I can bring to have fun with.

It'll be a long time until we can comfortably shoot outdoors and everyone knows that.

That sounds reasonable enough for me. I would prefer BVPistol. Im not sure what range fees are at Bills...

Thursday evenings are not good for me. Most Saturdays I work at Estate Sales...

What works for everyone? Thoughts?
