This can be made with either beef or pork. I have been using Boston Butt pork roast I get for only $1.59 a pound! This is for Croc Pot slow cooker and takes 5 minutes prep time.

Place roast in pot. Sprinkle all or most of an envelope of Ranch Dressing mix over meat.

Sprinkle all or most of an Au Jus gravy mix over the roast.

Half a bottle of Peppercinis on the meat. I like to get the "rings" as I don't have to mess with getting the seeds out. Pour half the juice out of the bottle in too.

5 or 6 pats of butter on top of the roast. I have made it with out the butter and it is so much better with it

Cook on high for 5-6 hours. It will be so tender the big bone in the pork roast lifts out with no meat on it! You can also cook on low for 10-12 hours. Perfect for throwing in before work and coming home to a house full of wonderful smells!

This amazing on a bun with a bit of mayo. I tried it with provolone cheese and was kind of shocked I liked it better with out but others may like it more.

The other fun thing is to fry some of the pork until it just starts to dry and use it for Carnitas tacos or burritos.

Try it once and you be looking forward to the next time.

Sounds great! I use the crock pot all winter long. I cook my pork shoulder in apple cider.

My corned beef in beer.

My chicken in coke.

My deer in onion soup mix.

The variety is endless.

And its easy, pop it in in the morning , and come home to dinner.

Sounds great. I think many meats are cooked to fast and they get tuff so people don,t like them. Cook them and let rest or cook slow and they,re great. Everyone's in a hurry and that's not good for tasty meat.

We made the pork roast. My wife likes it on a bun with BBQ sauce. I like it with yellow mustard. She put a whole jar of banana peppers in the crock pot, juice and all, and we skipped the butter. It kind of makes your tongue numb. You could do anything with this. I plan to make some tacos and burritos with it. Just add cheese. Nice to have this in the frig.

I want to hear about that woodchuck.

I like to put 1/2 deer, 1/2 pork or ham in a crock pot with BBQ sauce. The pork/ham adds needed moisture and fat.
