🔴 INFORMATION ABOUT LBJENNINGS GUNSTOCKS

Log in to see fewer ads
This is information for you guys, who like checking out my stock builds. As of today, all of my builds, that I can post, will be in this thread, called “lbjennings gunstocks”. I will try and remember to put a little red ball “🔴” in the starting page of every new stock. Once a few stocks are posted, you will have to do some searching. When you open “lbjennings Gunstocks “, click on the little bar at the top right, that says “display modes”, and choose “threaded mode”, that will make searching a little easier.
Hopefully, you will be able to check here, if you want to see what I’m building.
Larry

Here's a few pictures of the finished stock 188. This was a custom build for one of our members.

🪀🔴 STOCK 189, MAPLE BENCHREST 🔴

If Mother Nature will cooperate, I’m gonna try to do a little work on my buddies benchrest stock this weekend. This stock is going to have some nice figure. You can also see the receiver I'm using is a Grandmaster, with a rear hold down screw at the bottom.
Larry

I had to figure out a good setup for this receiver with the rear screw. Most of my stocks are bedded between the receiver and the trigger group and I'm not sure I can do that with this type receiver. the screw will be just behind the trigger guard. I wanted to pillar this setup, so this is what I am hoping is gonna work. The pillar is two 223 cases soldered end to end and cut off to fit the screw. The first step was, to make a practice run on an old stock. My thought, is to pillar the screw and try to make it similar to the front pillar.

Thanks for checking out my work. I think, building the thumbhole stock is the most challenging and also the most fun to do. I know it’s gonna be a problem digging around in this thread to see my stocks, but my next stock should be a good one. My buddy gave me a nice chunk of figured maple and wants me to build him a benchrest stock. I’ll be posting more pictures soon.

🪀 Stock 189

The action is inlet and seems to be pretty tight. My next step will be to make sure the barrel is fitting ok left and right. after the barrel seems ok, I'll get that rear screw and the front take down screw drilled out and pillared. My practice run seemed to go pretty easy, just hope drilling into the maple stock goes smooth.

🔴 STOCK BUILDS 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 🔴

I’ve been wanting to make this list of all my stock builds and never seem to have time. I guess I should thank the Covid-19 for giving me the incentive to do this.
Do any of you guys remember this stock? This was my first real build in 2014.

🪀 STOCK 189

Today, my buddy text to tell me, he finally had all the pieces for this benchrest build. I need to get everything so I can make sure the receiver and trigger group will drop into the inlet without any problems. He tells me, this rifle is gonna be set up to punch paper at 300 yds. Knowing him, if he says this 22 is going to shoot at 300, I won’t argue. This is the guy that bought my first stock 7 years ago and told me I could do this.
