Figured I'd better take advantage of a quiet morning and shoot at least one score this month before an upcoming enforced layoff from shooting. I'm hoping to be back behind a buttplate in August if quack says its OK. Have more heart surgery scheduled for this Thursday ... quack figures that an intermittent pulse rate of mid-20's is too slow for comfort, so having a pacemaker installed ... Sigh !

Thought I'd shoot a few more targets this month, however I've picked up the new torture of shooting trap.
Never shot a shotgun before, but man is it fun!

Shot this mid month, but unfortunately I don't have a photo of the target (wife burned it). To be fair to her we use them as fire starters all the time.

So no picture of the target this month, but here's one of the rifle

***25-Yd SCOPE PRACTICE*** , 7-3-16

SCORE: 471-10X
NAME: acorneau (Allen Corneau, 43)
LOCATION: Houston
GUN: CZ-452 Silhouette
GUN SETUP: _X_Scope __Iron sights __Sling
AMMO: SK Standard Plus
INDIV TGTS SCORES: 94-1X, 94-2X, 95, 93-1X, 95-6X

NOTES: ~10-15 MPH winds from my 6 o'clock, 80 degrees and humid. Shot alternating bulls with the 50-yard target.

On the last bull my first five shots were all X's. Of course I had to mess it up by following with a 9, X, 9, 8, 9. Four 8's and one 7 (boo).

A perfect day to shoot. Overcast, mid 70's, very little to no wind, 4th of July. I shot this Target immediately after I shot the RFC Silhouette Match. I am surprised that I shot the score I did as I had one off of paper on Target #2. 12X is a personal best. Never thought I could shoot that many X's.

Darn nice shooting anyway David.
As for 'off the paper', so this one could have been like, a 472-17X !
...believe me, I know the feeling
How easy it is for one or two shots to mess up a set.

I think of this game as a string of 50 individual "perfect concentration events".
In 4 years I have managed to accomplish that feat maybe 2 or 3 times.

There's always next time

Cheers,
Bob

Tonawanda Reserve Public range
Anschutz 1416 HB
Weaver KT-15

What a Blast! Fatigue got me by the last 10 shots.

If I shoot true slow fire, timer and all, 10 rounds in 10 minutes I think I could do better. Going to try it.
