Need help finding post please

Recently on RFC I saw a post that had a picture of a 10/22 with a stock that had been finished with both dark and light areas. The stock may have been zebra wood or maybe a type of maple. Beautiful stock, and the barrel and scope were silver. I believe he was going to sell the gun and keep the stock. And I believe he originally got the stock from maybe eBay in not very good condition. The person who posted mentioned the chemical used to make the dark/light areas and explained that when applied it was black, then when wiped off, the soft wood areas would become dark and the hard wood areas would remain light. With all this information I still cannot find the post. Here's why. I lost my favorites and some other things, that post being one of them. I live in the country and the telephone lines were put in just before pony express. I have a new computer but it makes no difference. Anything with allot of pictures takes too long to appear and it will usually stall and lockup before completion. Wind on the telephone lines knocks everyone off line out here. Seriously! Rain on the lines sometimes knocks us off line. There is some good about being here though, I can shoot at coyotes with my 10/22 from my front porch. I've tried "search and advanced search" but it's just too much for the computer. I have a Kentucky rifle I'm refinishing and I'd like to try the chemical he used. If you remember the post I'm talking about I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

If you want something like that you may want to check out hydrographic printing

http://www.summit3dgraphics.com/19.html

Send 'em a copy of the pic and see if they do something similar

That's it. Thanks allot 4 ACES and everyone esle also. I've seen some absolutely beautiful stocks all over this forum. To me they're works of art. For some reason this stock just stuck in my mind when I began refinishing my Kentucky Flintlock. I think it would look great on that style gun. But it's oak and I'm not sure the Aqua Fortis will work as well on oak. Only one way to find out. I'm going to buy some and experiment on a broken oak stock from a 10/22 to find out. I appreciate all the help.

That stock belongs to ThickStrings who posted above. Might want to contact him on the heating finishing/process. Hope yours turns out as well as his. That was a real beauty. Post some pics when done
