Wow, if that old Remington could only talk. I'd bet it has some stories to tell. Thanks for the pictures of it.

I had a couple of boy scout knives, but were used up or lost along the way. I still have my hatchet, I've had it for over 45 years!

I'm afraid I haven't a clue on its age . . .
. . . but here is a link to an ad for a BSA Plumb hatchet in an old Boy's Life magazine. I had no idea that Plumb made these so far back in time.

I'll keep poking around the internet - if I find something, I'll post it here. Thanks for the interest.

I had no idea that Plumb made those for the Scout back in the late 1920s. I still have mine from the 1970s that I passed down to my son.

Found a BSA Bucklite 412 folding knife recently, but it is still enroute. Buck 412 Scoutlite, one of the 1980 years Bucklite series. No box but nylon BSA pouch was included too.
Here is an updated link to BSA Scout knives, I just became aware of it. The earlier link no longer works.

Nice website.
I bought a few Camillus Boy Scout knives right when I heard they were going out of business, in 2007.
The Buck scout knife is nice. I have a couple of them.

I don’t remember how long I’ve had this but had several of just the pocketknives before I found this.

Very nice.
A few pictures up from here is a Scout sheath knife. That was from the days when the BSA allowed sheath knives. I carried a Buck 110 and I had the Plumb Scout hatchet and knife set. The Plumb case is ruined but the knife and hatchet are still in great shape. As I recall, the knife was made by Western.
I always took care of my equipment because I couldn’t afford to replace it.
