Well I just ordered some bulk packs because they were all out of the 50 round packs.

I will say this is my new favorite plinking ammo.

Here is a photo of 4 different guns shooting it on one target (and a 17hmr up in the top left)

Ruger RPRR
Tikka T1x
Kidd barreled TacInc receiver
Ruger 10/22 with Que/brimstone reworked barrel

Except for matches this will be my new go to ammo.

If you ordered from Killough's, their 300rnd "bulk" pack was actually six 50rnd packs in "small brick" box.

Pics from 50yrds?
(Thanks for pics!)

And you were shooting Eley Action 40's, right? (Which are are their way out from what others have posted. And I've seen 42gr showing up at other sellers.)

Dave,

I think Frank lives across the pond, look at the logo on his target. The 42 grain bullets are only available in the "bulk" bricks of 500 which Killough only sells using the force or contact loading.

This may be the reason Killough has dropped the price on the 300 round bricks. Sell them cheap and then replace with the 500 round "bulk" bricks of Action 42 grain bullets for $24.99

I'm glad this stuff is cheap to buy. I guess I shouldn't have got my hopes up so high just because it said ELEY on the box. I'll say this is good plinking ammo but way too many flyers for decent 10 shot groups.

I still need to put a lighter trigger spring in my 457 American but the search for ammo this rifle likes will go on. I need to finish the box and then I'll post pics.

I did some batch testing and at 25 yards and it was very impressive in my Anschutz model 54 match.

Eley Action at 50 yards its just a shade less accurate than Eley match and not only that its very cheap.(by comparison)

I would use this in any semi auto in a heartbeat its very good ammo.

My cz455 adores the stuff!

Discontinued,

I don't know that std. velocity ammo will run all .22 LR semi-autos. There are some that require hi velocity ammunition by design, like some of the Winchesters. We are not talking target rifles in that instance. There may be others. Anyway, just wished to make that distinction.

I've run into more than one individual that thot there was something wrong w/their rifle when they failed to heed the markings on the barrel that said 'Winchester Super-X or Super Speed Only'.

Glad that you got a good lot for your use! I've yet to try any from the one I have, but it looks very good peeking at some random cartridges. May get to try some come Thursday. Big thunderstorms today.

Installed the spring and I think it may be too light for my taste. I'm going to keep playing with it and adjusting using green monster targets and different ammo. The ELEY ACTION did preform better after the spring change but still not satisfied.

Small box? Not long ago I ordered 5 regular bricks. Each brick was 10 boxes shrink wrapped together. Sounds like they have changed the packaging.

They had both (500pk and 300pk) when I got my first order a few months ago and the 500's were just as you described. The 500's sold out a month'ish ago. My last order was boxes of 300. They look good too.

It the batch number begins with 3117-xxxxx, it was mfg in 2017. Check out my post #15 in the thread of the link below. See post #15. This is all the old stuff, 40 gr with beeswax/tallow, same lube as the Tenex.

PS: 1348 Action Rec Pack left in stock as of post.

48.4 yards.

Yes from Killoughs, Iím in the west and printed off targets to test which I Line for testing 22 ammo.

I do believe itís the 40gr ammo. Will have to double check. I wish I would have bought 5-10 more bricks of it. This is perfect imho for informal shooting and hunting. Definitely not as greasy as my RWS or Geico ammo.

After reading all of the positive reviews I ordered 5 of the 300 packs-40gr(all were lot # 3117-40021) and tried it out. Shot much better than CCI-SV in my Savage Mark II BV and my Kidd barreled Ruger 10/22 so I ordered 20 more of the 300 packs-40 gr on Monday and they got here on Thursday. All were lot# 3117-30084.
Cost me $3.21/box of 50 delivered to Kentucky.

Went out to my home range today and tried out 2 boxes in the Kidd barreled Ruger and they shot very very well.
