10/22 Magazine Problem

I have a 10 round factory magazine that has a problem, when I load 5 rounds in it , the magazine works fine, when I load 10 rounds in it about on the 5th or 6th shot the round will hang up down inside the mag.....I have cleaned it and re wound the spring correctly according to what I have read here.... thoughts ?

Throw it out. Buy another . 10$.

I had a magazine (10 round) that failed to feed fairly often. There was a small lump of metal that would often hold the round just low enough that the bolt didn't catch it. I ground on it with a Dremel tool and got rid of enough that the problem went away.

The lump was about the size of a arc-welding splatter. It was in the back corner of the metal feed lips where the rim of the feeding case would sit.

I had a problem with one of my ten rounders, it would hang up about a round short causing a failure to feed. Took it apart once, gave it a clean, and wound it according to instructions I found online. Took it back to the range, first use went fine, second time it gave me the same symptom. In the garbage it went. At $10 a pop I’m not investing more time than that in them. Took it as an excuse to buy another three pack.
