Why would you want smaller mag buttons?

Its lighter , docent touch the frame, dosent rub the outside of the properly tuned magazine, gives less uncontrolled travel feeding for the last round fed from the magazine. In short "far more reliability potential". They are Volquartsen buttons that I had the head diameter turned down to .218" then the sharp edges removed and polished the services that touched the mag body and slide stop. Works great.

Yes the smaller buttons make magazines go in and out a lot smoother I ground mine down they where dragging when you insert them 👍

That is a very nice collection of Rugers. I almost got the threaded barrel version like yours but found a great deal on a threaded Buckmark 5.5" Field Target for $423 shipped.

did you bead blast your Sparrow? Looks good with the SS Rugers.

No. It is called the White Sparrow. That is how it came as new.

They are Volquartsen mag buttons that I had turned down to .218" then the sharp edges were removed. They can't drag on the frame when the ammo rises during firing. This also gives a better feed for the last round fed from the magazine.

MOREGUNS... Great information on what you did to your Ruger Mark IV. I am a old guy and just dont have the smarts , time and tools etc to do all the things you did to your pistols. Could you share ( list ) what all you did to your pistol , rough cost and if you could share gunsmith you used to make the changes . Not every gunsmith here has the knowledge to do what you done to your Ruger Mark IV. I plan on buying a new Ruger Mark IV want to set it up just like yours. MD.

To save money on having to have all those magazines try a McFaden Ultimate Clip Loader. You can put about 100 rounds in it at a time and load your magazine in a couple of seconds. Easy way to go through a lot of ammo during your shooting session.

I use one for my Volquartsen Mamba and Mark IVs. It also works with my S&W and my buddie's Browning.

HPTactical.com They now make a wider variety. I uses it for display but also as when I work on the internals. I make a great vise for holding the frame letting me get into the small parts.

MD,

As Steven said, HP Tactical has the Ruger stand...works well with my Standards, MkIs, MkIIs and MkIV's (Hunter & 22/45 Lite)! It is great to stage photos and dis-assemble or re-assemble actions! It is built Very Solidly and Looks as good as it works...NICE!!!
