I just saw this on Gunbroker and was a little surprised. I know the price of these guns has gone up but this really surprised me. The next highest one I have seen was about $700.

Wow! although the stainless version is a little rare, it isn't worth spending that kind of money for. I have a regular one, and like it very much, but maybe it's time to think about selling it?

Boy, if I had one, I'd sell it for $750 and smile, smile, smile!

Asking price does not indicate selling price. You can ask any amount and hope an idiot will rise to the bait. Unfortunately it seems to be that way more and more lately.

Thats pretty crazy - was it an original issue or just the standard Springfield CZ manufactured model that was recently (well okay, been a little while now) cut lose? At that price, I'm wondering if CZ is reconsidering that decision.

Editted later - just the standard CZ manufactured model. Wow!

I had one in .22 Hornet. I traded a guy my New England single shot 12 ga. for it three years ago(that I paid $60 for). Then traded the M6 for a 1975 Remington 700 in .270, two years ago. The 700 also came with a BSA Deer Stalker scope, a leather strap three boxes of ammo & another box & a half of once fired cases

I think I did OK, on that deal.

breakeyp - that wasn't the asking price, that was the sale price. There were 19 bids on that gun!

I bought the same gun for $300 at a local gun shop just this summer. I almost wish I would have bought another one (but not stainless) at another local shop for $325 just two months later. Oh well!

So how much would one of these with the CZ supplied 'blue case' that might have cost all of $5.27 to manufacture (at the time) go for?

Its not for sale, but if I hear $1700 and an Ovaltine decoder ring, I might be convinced to change my mind. That or check my meds to see if they've been switched . . .

Hornet chambered, in case you were curious.

Your should bring $500 to $600 I think, especially cause it's in .22 hornet

I like mine, but not sure if I want to sell it. It's unusual, practical and fun to shoot. That rifle barrel is dead on even when using that weird trigger set up.
