Semi auto BCG.. and the David Tubbs flat wire recoil spring.. did the trick.
Ejection is at 3 o'clock.
Smooth shooting..
Brownells says you must use xm193 ammo..(it's fairly hot)
In order for the rifle gas system to work on a 15.5 inch barrel...
I say not true.
Gas port is opened up.. but I don't know how much.
I run a semi auto BCG..and a David Tubbs flat wire recoil spring.
Works slick.
I need to take a picture of my "mutt" Colt 605
I've found the JP recoil system to be the ticket to silent/recoil free action.

AR's nope I wouldn't own 1 (LOL) I have 18 of them 15 AR15's 3 AR10's. built every one of them except one but its the one that got me hooked on them. by the way, have you checked out CDNN they have been clearing out bushmaster and DPMS parts for at least six months now. originally had some great deals but prices have steadily increased. https://www.cdnnsports.com/catalogse...ir=desc&q=AR15

oh and Flintlock28 the pistol above is a side charger in 7.62x39 it is one of my favorite pistols to shoot. it was built with a bear creek stripped side charging upper and carrier and handguard but I used a bolt from RTB and a green mountain 9'' barrel with 1 in 9.5 twist. It has a red X arms extended firing pin. Aero lower with a hyperfire trigger with their 7.62x39 spring kit and pull is about 3 1/2 lbs.

pic is before final grip and handstop.

Ad me to the AR lover's club. Owned a few Colts in the past but now my M&P Sport is my only AR. It is a bit of a work in progress. Needs a better trigger next but I'll start a separate thread for that.

I built this Dissipator (with green furniture) around a DTI barrel a couple years back. Had to open the gas port with a #35 drill bit (~0.110", IIRC) to get her to run right...

I love this little rifle! It's not light by any means (~7 lbs...), but it's a soft shooter and plenty accurate for my purposes.

She now sports an A.R.M.S. folding A-frame gas block, a LaRue A-PEG grip, and an ArmaSpec Stealth Recoil Spring (yeah, it's a knockoff of the JP SCS, but it's high quality), but she RUNS!

I've been told Mattel made the stock & grips too. They had the manufacturer stamp on them. I did find this wandering the web though.

Anyway...looking to get my first AR soon. I've been looking at 2 or 3 of the Rock River models.

Whatcha thinking of getting??
Here lately, I'm being smitten with the Canadian SA20...kinda like this configuration in this picture.....but with the skinny round handguards..
And A2 pinned on front sight.
Mine is a hoot to shoot.
I'm running a H2 Carbine buffer..
Kind of a jack of all trades rifle..
Smooth with rifle gas.. flattop with BUIS.. or anything else you want.
I've even ran mine with kAC handguards.
"Think A4 with six position stock."
Love the 1/9 twist government profile barrel I have.

She's a great shooter..
Incredibly simple to build.
I did use a Stainless steel 1/9 twist Wylde ,chamber ...government profile barrel.

It's a toss up between the ATH carbine V2, predator pursuit, and the NM A4 20" comp.I've got a Crossfire 2 scope already sitting on my 10/22 so about the only thing I'd need is a set of rings. I might be doing some hog busting out on my in-laws' place. They've got about 50-60 that seem to wander in a large circle through several properties.
