Do you have the metal trigger guard and carbine metal clamp?
A metal butt plate.
I bought a new Ruger carbine and its falling apart just sitting in my closet.
I know that I'm speaking blasphemy, but I wished that I never bought it.
Oops.
All my stuff is aftermarket with the exception of a couple of oem metal triggers with Kidd Kits installed in them.

how do they hold up ? Do you add metal rails inside the reciever ? Also what medium are you printing them from ? Would love to see some pics if you are so inclined.

sometimes i wish i had enough spare parts to complete a build , then i remember that would mean ive had too many apart with too many purchases of replacement bits , i guess im being frugal when i say im glad i dont have that many spare parts ,

congrats on a couple real nice builds ,

Well they are way stronger than you’d think. I’m amazed at the strength I can get out of printing. I use pla pro which is a stronger higher temp resistance of regular pla.

I did three 25rd mag dumps in a row (no jams) to see how it would hold up to that. Didn’t skip a beat. Is it as strong as an aluminum receiver? Nope. I think it’ll easily hold up past 1000 rounds. I put over 500 through one of them and no issues. Here’s a short vid of one I built out of spare parts and a 3d printed receiver. I think these are Winchester 333 rounds.

And here’s some pics

Yes I’m building a micro 10/22 model. More in that later. This is a collaboration with lbjennings and myself….

Are you going to use a mini bolt and guide rod too? I'm trying to wrap my head around how this could work without doing a lot of re-engineering of parts.

ehhh...for now its going to be non functioning. I had considered making it to shoot shorts, but it would be a alot of work and more time than I have right now. I'm fully capable of making it functional.

Did you print up a receiver for lbjennings so he can use it for stock fit testing? I know he was looking for one, didn't have to be functional, and it never occurred to me that all he needs is a 3d printed block!

I must be missing something......what does any of this have to do with "Factory Stock 10/22's"?

Well....I guess some of the parts came from factory stock 10/22's.

I think you ARE missing something. The title of this thread is "Spare parts build!" OK the subform is Factory Stock 10/22s.

Almost NONE of the threads in this section deal with anything "factory stock".
And if they did, it would be pretty boring.
