Numero Uno:

Numero Due:

And with the old furniture from a 22/45, that is now on No. 1 above:

And a target, of course:

Pardon the old photos. I have posted them before. But these pistols shoot really, really well.

weight

flangster

What does your chrome model weigh? My only one is the standard stainless steel upper/lower that they only made for a short period of time. Configured in this picture weighs a solid 56 ounces! I put the lighter weight Hogue grip and removed the Sightron red dot to get down to 52 ounces. I rarely use the comp as it too is stainless and weighs 4.5 ounces, twice as much as the aluminum models. This is the only picture I have of it that includes the Mark II. When you put the rail on it along with the bipod it becomes a pretty stable platform. I also put a 5-15 rifle scope with AO on it for ammo testing.

Just to back up that all Volquartsen pistols should, and do shoot great.

20 Shots of CCI SV at 25ds off a MTM with an Aimpoint H2.
V-2000 now discontinued but I heard it may be coming back as a MKIV.

I can get you some weights over the weekend.

Smooth, that 2000 is a great-looking set up. Woulda-shoulda-coulda bought one when they were readily available. Interesting that they are thinking of bringing back the upper.

Linda Lou's home on the road

Hi Thomas,

That's a nice case you have there. Is there a solid insert of some type that separates the top and bottom section, or do they stack on top of each other?

Speaking of Black Mambas, is there a break in procedure for a new one?

It's highly suggested to send it to the first willing forum member, along with a case of ammo, for proper testing. Then if it passes testing, you will have a full report on performance and ammo accuracy.

I'll PM my info for my FFL dealer.

In all seriousness, I've never noticed a mention of VQ wanting any specific ammo or procedure to break in their pistols. I know I would have rounds down range fairly quickly unless they warned of a specific break in procedure up front.
