XS Sight Systems Ghost Ring setup

I have a stock 10-22 and a XS Sight Systems RU-0001-5 Ghost Ring rear coming and want a fiber optic front sight that will work with it on the stock barrel. If any of you limited shooters have experience with this type setup I'm looking for some help on brand and height.

Thanks for reply LeeJ, That's a nice looking rifle with a solid limited setup. Hope to have a similar limited barrel setup next year. This year I'm just wanting to try out the ghost ring on the factory standard barrel. Things Ive learned since I posted,
The SX front sight is .600 tall that they ship with RU-0001-5 ruger ghost sight set.
Nobody I could find makes a 3/8's dovetail sight taller than .570.
I had to use a 3/8's dovetail riser block in front(Williams), they are .250 tall.
I tried a .375 tall Williams fiber optic front (.625 total) and that was just a little to low with the ghost ring all the way down.
Next on the try list is a HiVis .420 tall. Have it mounted and ready to test.
I also have a Williams .450 tall if the HiViz is to low.
If I like this sight system I'll get a light weight barrel of some sort. I've read that a Ruger Lite front .500 tall works with the SX ghost ring on some barrels and yours above is around .600 tall. Volquartsen limited rifles with ghost ring rear sights use HiViz fronts but I'm not sure what the height is.

BoMc, the pics are a Special order Volquartsen Ultralite. With this setup and running CCI Blazers 40 gr I did raise the ghost ring quite high for 25 yd steel completion. Thank you for the compliment.

Geo, yes I do. Just getting back into the game. Truly enjoy being around the steel games.

We shoot a lot of steel challenge here in southwest florida. I have two VQ rifles and several scorpions. I have magpul hunter stocks on the rifles - can't use those beautiful VQ laminate stocks as I shoot the rifles left handed. I have converted several of my buddies over to both Volq pistols and rifles. They both seem to run very well with cci standard velo. Have fun with the steel!
